Hormone therapy on its own is unlikely to cure your prostate cancer.  
Hormone therapy can be used with radiotherapy to make the treatment more effective.

  • Changes to sex life and possible loss of sexual function
  • Bone thinning (Osteoporosis)
  • Weight gain
  • Muscle loss
  • Hair loss
  • Breast swelling or tenderness (Gynaecomastia)
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Mood changes
